Comments Thread For: Kayode's Manager Blasts Tarver, Talks Fall Return

Undefeated crusierweight Lateef Kayode -- coming off his career-best victory over Matt Godfrey in June on ShoBox -- looks to capitalize on his big win, fighting next on Aug. 27 or Sept. 5, possibly against Brian Minto.

Why would Tarver fight this guy,he is in the twilight of his career and is looking for paydays, what can Kayode bring to the table.

Your right about Tarver, I can't see him taking on Lateef - financially anyways. But to be honest, I would much rather see Lateef fight Antonio then Brian ****ing Minto.

On another note regarding the article, Yes - Tarver has been tough on Kayode, but rightfully so IMO. It's moves like this (Kayode vs Minto) that brings out the legitimacy of what Tarver has been saying about Lateef all along... which is basically 'it's time to step it up'. A fight against Minto at this point in Kayode's career is a step backwards, IMO.

Ya I do think kayode ducking flores, but kayode vs minto isnt that bad Minto can punch and Kayode been hit alot in his last fights plus he only throws in spurts I think Minto gonna put up a better fight than matt godfrey thats for sure. Tarver should aim for a champ Huck on neutral ground would be good, but if he wants to make a good payday Germany is where its at.

Kayode is a glorified B fighter with a very well-connected trainer -- very limited skill set -- all this is reflected in naming a club fighter and trial horse like Minton as a future opponent -- if Kayoda really had anything, his people would be stepping him up in class

You are right on. Kayode looks the part and that is about it.
