This is the last thing I'm going to say about all this controversy.
First of all Castillo deserves credit for the win no matter what because the fight was allowed to go on. Gary Shaw wasn't complaining too much and obviously had confidence in a Corrales win because after all he did bet $100,000 with Castillo after the Saturday weigh in. Now all of a sudden he is complaining because his man got knocked out. Trust me he wouldn't say anything if Corrales was to win or even if it went deep into the fight and Castillo knocked Corrales out. Since it happened early now he has something to say.
If he really felt that there was a disadvantage before the fight then he should of never allowed Corrales to fight no matter what Corrales said. The Nevada Commission also shouldn't have much to say as well because after all they are the ones who sanctioned the fight. If they felt the way they say then they wouldn't have put a man's life in jeopardy no matter how much money the fight would generate.
To all the people who said that Corrales had a mental letdown because his titles weren't on the line well he had a chance to fight for the titles. Both the WBC and WBO were willing to sanction the fight but they didn't want to so that isn't a good excuse.
To all the people who say the weight was an issue I didn't see anyone change thier predictions for the fight. If you knew the weight would of been a disadvantage then you should of known a knockout of Corrales would come. Most of the people who are using that excuse were still saying that Corrales would knock Castillo out or at least beat him. So you all pretty much took away your excuse about the weight.
Castillo won the fight fair and square according to his record and according to the Nevada State Commission because he followed every rule that was set for him after failing to make weight Friday. Castillo should of weighed in at 135 but if Gary Shaw and the Commission are going to complain they should of never let the fight go on. All throughout the Showtime card they were saying shame on Castillo. Well I say shame on all of them including Showtime. Like I said if the felt so strongly that it was a disadvantage then the fight should of never gone on no matter how much money was on the line.
