Ali just wasnt that agressive of a fighter and today's heavyweights are just simply too big. He would box and box and have plenty of success with a high possibility of becoming undisputed champ but he just simply would not razzle or dazzle anyone with big hammering punches or sheer explosiveness that have become the standard of entertainment to casual fans. Even if ali fought today it wouldnt bring back american interrst in the heavyweight division. Americans would consider him just as if not more boring than wlad.

I dont watch boxing just to see how hard a guy can punch..its a science and Ali had his labcoat on everytime he got in the ring.

Because todays heavyweights are just simply too big. Ali would be an awesomely entertaining cruiserweight today but him fighting at heavyweight every fight would be like the foreman fight without the dramatic comeback knockout. He wasnt ever really a big puncher to be hurting today's lennox lewis, klitchkos, valuevs.

He would probably be even more hated than Floyd Mayweather is. Mix in his association with the Black ******s in a post-9/11 climate against the rampant nationalism of white america. His blatant outspokenness about political issues. He might be all those things, but he would never be considered boring. The only people who find slick fighters boring are new-gen fans who think boxers are supposed to run into the middle of the ring and swing wildly until someone falls down.

Imo he wasn't exactly the most entertaining / exciting boxer anyway, he was in a handful of exceptional fights obviously but the majority of them aren't exactly must watch like most people make out.

You serious man, boring? Just imagine Ali's quick hands, combination punching, attitude, greatest trash talker in my opinion or better yet, speaker. I say he'd definetly put the spotlight in the heavyweight division and while doing so, he'll motivate others to come into the sport of boxing, most likely strengthing the HW division.

The way how people are talking about the heavyweights being too big...Im almost 100% sure that if Mike Tyson was coming up now, people would be sating he would have no chance....do people not realise that Mike Tyson was like 5"11 and 225lbs.....
