Comments Thread For: Paris vs Coleman Early FNF Results From Chumash

Chumash Casino, Santa Ynez, California - In a super featherweight contest, Art Hovhannesyan (14-0-1, 8KOs) and Cristobal Cruz (39-12-3, 23KOs) fought to a four round technical draw. The scores were 39-37 for Cruz, 39-37 for Hovhannesyan and 38-38 for the draw. The fight was starting to get very interesting. Cruz was tagging Hovhannesyan with some very good punches. There was a clash of heads in the fourth round, and Cruz had a very bad cut on his forehead. The referee and the doctor made a mutual decision to stop the fight. Going by the rules of the California State Athletic Commission, the fight went the judges because the fourth round had started.

I knew that fight was going to be ruled a draw, I'm glad it was even if Cruz was winning early. It's ridiculous to score a fight for the first 4 rounds, who ever made those rules are wacked.

Paris-Coleman was one hell of a fight. Also refreshing that I did not have to listen to Teddy and Sergio is actually a pretty good announcer.

give Parris credit -- he started investing in body work in the 4th round and kept at it -- all 3 knockdowns came from a body shot, which is very rare -- Parris came in with a plan and stuck with it even when he was having some early trouble -- still a work in progress but someone to keep an eye on

By the fourth round of the paris-coleman fight, I was thinking that this was not going to a decision. Espn aired another exciting fight. It reminded me of wolak-rodriguez over the way it was going back and forth.

                Paris is 25-0, not 25-1.
