I don't buy what your selling though. Pacman has the biggest fanbase in the sport. Because he's the anti Floyd. Who cherrypicks even more than Floyd does. But while the majority of fight fans are loving Pacman, that same majority are hating Floyd. The problem... and also the reason why both Pacquiao and Mayweather have so many haters... is that nobody wants to see them fight anyone but each other. Just the fight alone, no matter who wins, will solidify them both as two of the best who fought the best of their time.
This could have been the Hagler/Hearns, Leonard/Duran or Ali/Frazier of our generation. Instead, if they eventually do fight, they'll both be long out of their primes. I have a lot of respect for both though.Comment

Yes, Pacman undoubtedly has more fans but they both have a lot of critics. So you say that both men cherry pick their opponents and Pacquiao does it more often? That makes sense since Pacquiao fights more often.
I disagree though, who could Pacquiao have fought that would have been better than who he has fought recently?
Floyd's inactivity is what does him in even though he does fight legitimate boxers.Comment

How about Berto for starters. Unify the division. If Pacman beat Berto then Floyd would not be fighting Ortiz right now, true story. Unifying welterweight is far greater than Margarito, Clottey, Mosley & now Marquez combined. With Clottey being the highest win since Cotto. With Margarito at 150 for the title the biggest most bull**** title fight to date.Yes, Pacman undoubtedly has more fans but they both have a lot of critics. hahaha like we didnt already know lolI was bonified Floyd hater, with a passion. Now while I still don't actually like him, I have come to respect him. I was 1 that though he'd duck the hell outa Mosley. Instead he beat the **** outa Shane when everyone in boxing knew Shane was the welterweight to beat following his destruction of Margarito.
Then instead of putting up garbage ppv's he left the sport for a while. I can also respect that. If you ain't gonna fight nobody with more than a snowball chance in hell, don't fight them & if you do don't put that crap on ppv. Now he came outa retirement ot fight a prime, young welterweight champ ranked second at the weight. I don't like you Floyd, but I do salute you.
another ***** mascerading as a hater finally comes out of the closest hahaha

whether you want to gripe about it or not, correct me if i'm wrong but Clottey was WBO's mandatory challenger. Berto also had a bout with Quintana already signed at the time. How about Berto for starters. Unify the division. If Pacman beat Berto then Floyd would not be fighting Ortiz right now, true story. with Margarito. I believe it was more for the historical eighth division championship. unify titles or record eighth championship?
After the Margarito bout, the top 3 on the list for Pacquiao was Mosley, Berto or Marquez(only because the Mayweather bout fell through), but Mosley and Berto signed to fight each other then Berto withdrew due to the earthquake and set the stage for Mosley/Pacquiao.
In no way did Pacquiao try to avoid a match with Berto.Comment
