I have a feeling Pavlik thought it was more of a slap in the face that he was only getting 50k to fight in his hometown of Youngstown.

How many fans would he have brought tho? His popularity probably is dying in Youngstown. He's complaining about a paycheck against some guy I haven't heard of before when I thought the whole point of this fight was to get the bigger check against Bute.

Poor Pavlik, he had too much time to think about the fight against Bute and now he's looking for excuses. The more i think about it, it's a good thing, cause Bute would have destroyed his liver ! Will we see a top fighter willing to fight Bute ? Kessler=scared, Pavlik=scared. Can't wait to see who will be the next boxer to be scared ! Now they are talking about Johnson, he's tough, but he will never beat Bute. At least, i don't see Johnson being scared of a boxer and i respect him for that !

In Montreal, we don't have 100 000 boxers and promoters offering millions for a fight ! I started boxing in 1985, that's why i have met and trained with most of the pros here. You would know just like me, if you would live here, that Bute isn't scared to fight a top fighter. Why ? cause he wants that big fight ! He needs those fights. His team is looking for a big fight. It's that simple. Remember that Bute was not, at first, invited in that Super 6 tournament. They said that they forgot him ! What a lame excuse ! Also, too bad Pavlik is acting like he does, Bute has nothing to do with that, and he would never do such a thing. About Kessler, all i know is that Bute really wants to fight him and there's always something going wrong. Finally, when Kessler will be in the ring with Bute, i will stop saying that he's scared of losing to a faster and technically better fighter.

Good points, but I'm sure that Team Bute rejected the Super-6 offer.
