What difference does it make whether he finishes his career unbeaten or not. I think you are confusing PRESENT day P4P with ALLTIME P4P.
What YOU don't know but what I DO know, is that up to a few years ago every one of Mayweather's opponents was carefully selected for his special weaknesses which he would be able to capitalise on. His team-maybe his uncles and father ?- were called by the Journalists, Mayweather's BRAINS TRUST. They slipped up a bit too, but not enough for him to lose, although he had it tough, and was able to actually show that he could fight when he had to. Once against Augustus, and then against Castillo.
They used the same term for Oscar's advisors, until he slipped up with Trinidad, whom they thought would be so weight drained that he'd fade. Oscar had to keep up a fast pace for this to happen. Well, he/they miscalculated, that's all. Again against Mosley, having his 1st fight at welter straight from lightweight.Comment

Ray Robinson lost his first fight when he was about 40-0, to Jake La Motta giving away about 20 lbs. He lost his second fight when he was about 132-1 to Randolph Turpin and beat him in the immediate return by KO. All this when a long time past his best. Julio Cesar Chavez's streak was over 80 fights without a defeat. And there were many similiar in boxing history who'd likely chew Mayweather up to shreds. What about Ottke, Michelczewski, what about Calzaghe etc. Larry Holmes was 48-0.....Tyson also a long Zero run.
What does that make THEM, compared to Mayweather's carefully selected 41-0........??Comment
