Comments Thread For: Arum: Juanma Possibly Back on 10/1, Salido in 2012

Juan Manuel Lopez won’t get an opportunity to avenge his upset loss to Orlando Salido until sometime in 2012.

Lopez should fight someone in the top 15 to see if hes still relevant at 126. Luis Franco would be a good fight or he could fight Mikey Garcia he got the NABO title and that would be a eliminator to fight Salido. Also that jamaican Walters I seen him box on the panamanian cards sometimes he was solid and hes ranked. Or just for the fck of it Prescotts lil bro hes ranked also

just someone good no need for a tune up he was an undefeated fighter up until recently it would be worse if he fought someone whos not even a contender in the division than someone like Berto cause at least Berto gonna fight a champ after losing his belt and 0.

I would like to see Juanma fight a tough pressure fighter to see if he has made the necessary adjustments he needs to beat Salido. I doubt Top Rank does that though considering the trouble he has had with tough journeymen who stand up to his power.

unfortunately i think juanma is all done.

he's not going to adjust now
he's getting close to 30 and is looking very big between fights
there are no big fights at 130
and at 135 he'll get dusted. he just doesn't have the style. can you imagine what brandon rios or robert guerrero could do to juanma?

and he's taken a lot of punches

the ring certainly jumped the gun ranking him in the top ten p4p.
i thought that was a prank pulled by an intern from Puerto rico or something ^^

he could still be in some entertaining fights. marquez rematch if he gets past nishi. perhaps even gamboa could be entertaining if not competative
and i don't think he's at the point where anybody (certainly not myself) should be telling him to retire

i just think his run at the top of the sport is over before it ever really started

pick someone with a pulse. you're all ready a joke when people are saying you need a tune up for what was a tune up.

I would like to see that fight. We would find out what kind of chin Mikey has.

Juanma should move on a have a nice win streak. Things will fall in place since Salido wants to fight other fighters
