Hattons a complete hype job. I love him, and hes one of my favourite fighters but that dosen't change the fact hes overrated as they come. Victor stops him.

I don't see how Hatton would deal with Ortiz's strength and speed. Heart or no heart Ortiz can land when he needs to and to be honest Hatton's power was never on the level of Marco's Maidana's. Plus Hatton's chin was getting rocked the moment he crossed the pond by guys who weren't even devastating punchers. Ricky was a decent pressure fighter like Michael Katsidis is but he is seriously over rated. The moment Ricky faced someone with speed and power he just couldn't handle it. And looking at the names on his resume at 140 nothing really stands out that would lead you to believe otherwise. There's not one strong or fast fighter on his resume that he fought outside of May and Paq. He took a drastic step up in competition and we all saw what happened. Ortiz on the other hand, despite his mental short comings in the past, he has some physical abilities that will keep him the fight against those same fast and strong fighters, which is why he's obviously a class above Ricky. Even at 140 I don't see how Hatton would be able to handle Vic's strength and speed.

That was Hatton's only mistake. He went from fighting those types of fighters to the elite in a blink of an eye. He took a HUGE step up in competition. The difference was like night and day and it showed in the ring.

Prime Hatton at 140 pounds could take a solid punch. I'm not saying his chin was outstanding but when people say he had a glass chin then that is not true. And people mainly base that on the Pacquaio fight when he wasn't the same fighter after losing to Mayweather/spliting with Graham..
