Hilarious, I love when people bring up Foreman's comeback as some type of proving point that the old fighters could compete today. I just watched the Stewart fight and it was the most blatant robbery Ive ever seen. Foreman won 1 round. Stewart is most famous for prior to the Foreman fight being beaten senseless by Holyfield, Tyson and Moorer. Stewart is best known as the fighter who almost cost Merchant his job when he said that it was a joke that Tyson would fight such a bum and Don King said to HBO its Merchant or Tyson and HBO chose Merchant.
Foreman's entire comeback was a fraud...He wasnt competitive at all. He robbed some people, and landed a bolo punch on a chinny former light heavyweight...
Im just curious, since Foreman gets all these bonus points to his legacy for winning a joke decision against the Axel Shultz's and Stewart's of the world, will Vitali at 40, after a multi-year lay off get the same bump? Is he in the early 30's Ali boat where his losses, robberies, and struggles dont count toward his legacy because he's past prime, but his wins are magnified because even past prime he can accomplish things? Somehow I dont think the old history buffs who made the history board such trash that the active and good posters left it so they now come over here to have their discussions because their board reads like this:
Fat old person 1: Ali was great
Fat old person 2: Ali was the great(est) get it right
Fat old person 3: ALI WAS SO GREAT
Fat old person 1: Yeah...sorry this computer is hard to operate plus im poor and posting at a library and i had to deposit 10 more cents in the machine so I sent it before I could find the e-s-t buttons. Gotta go, library closing.
