According to overseas reports, Barrios is having issues with his legal documents to leave the country and won't be able to make the fight with Morales. His countryman, Matthysse, has stepped in to take his place. The vacant WBC 140-pound title will be at stake.

Morales will be able to hang with him, IMO. He's a very clever vet and I don't think Matthysse has the power to KO Morales. Fight's going to be a war.

This is great news, i don't mind Morales fighting for belt if its against a good fighter, at least now if Morales wins he will have beaten a good fighter to deserve the fight with Khan.
I think Matthysse wins and him vs Khan will be a great fight if it happens.

3rd Robbery for Lucas.
The WBC have already given Morales that belt. Nothing against the guy but even if he gets taken out unconscious on a stretcher, the belt will be d****d over him.
Can’t blame Matthysse for taking the fight but if he wants to leave with the belt then he’s going to have to rip it out of Eric’s cold dead hands.
THE WBC ARE ****S THAT RUIN THIS SPORT.Last edited by Uncle Rodge; 08-02-2011, 02:45 PM.

Great, now Lucas is getting the free title. Ehhh I guess it's not TOO bad that way. At least he actually climbed up the WBC ranks with his performance against Alexander, as opposed to Morales who has done nothing. And if Morales somehow wins, he'll earn the title because of a win over a tough opponent.
Winner gets Khan or Bradley!
