Actually, after Hopkins won the fight he did nothing but give Pavlik praise and told him to take this loss and grow with it.

he kinda looked like he was on the verge of tears after the final bell rung. I think that fight really did hurt him emotionally. He probably had a bit of a drinking problem before, nothing too serious, but I think that loss pushed it even further. I think he felt like a let everyone down.

Pavlik really fooled me....He had all time great skills and heart to me....then the Hopkins fight happened...and well he's done....He was making som many excuses not to fight P Will that's when I realized he had b1tch tendencies....Such a shame

Pavlik was already well on his way to becoming an alcoholic before the Hopkins fight. Had that fight never happened, chances are, he'd still be a drunk.
