    pretty high... top100 all time

he takes fight on short notice
    he enjoys fighting
he loses, and just goes on and fights again
he is one of the pro fighters with more fights of his era
not to mention his huge talent

someone mentioned a few oldtimers and I think toney is that kind of fighter

Toney cracks a top 50 for me. I don't know just how high I rank him quite yet.

Its been awhile since I've even attempted making a all-time p4p list. Last time I did it I was splitting hairs too often and became frustrated.

Maybe I'll try again some time.

It's very hard to make a top 50 list. I just put 50 names in no order.

Where does Toney rank? Hoooo, boy, somewheres between the all you can eat Sushi buffet and the all you can eat Italian buffet when he ain't sneaking off to Baskin & Robbins!

Now I give Toney some credit, but folks crack on Roy for not always facing top comp and the same could be said for Toney in spades. Probably Nunn and Jirov are the two best prime fighters he's beat, and only Jirov has a slim outside chance at the HOF.

Now if he can record a legit victory over a prime top heavy contender, well, he might be knocking on the top 50 all time. I'm telling you, when one of those big boys get ahold of Toney he's gonna make a mighty big splat on the canvas and we won't hear no more of Tooting Toney's horn section around here.

                  hmm

Toney did not perform well enough to be called a top 20 fighter of all-time. He lost to Griffin twice in his prime and also to a couple "no-name" fighters.

Big wins over Jirov and Nunn and good wins over guys like McCallum help his case though. Top 50 isn't a stretch I guess but tell me what 50 guys are ahead of him. I want to see the list physically to see if it is fair.

How the hell did Toney lose to Griffin twice? I can't imagine Toney losing to Griffin. I just read that Toney was robbed vs. Griffin. Anyone see the fight? By the way he only loss to one no name fighter, which was because of weight problems.

                      hmm

He got a gift decision vs Thiberi ir Thadzi I think, I forget which. At least, many ppl feel it was a gift. I've never heard anyone blame the other loss on weight, but we could ask.

Toney is an all-time great, just not top 20. Not yet...

If he beat Klitschko that would do it, easy. I would not expect him to beat Klitschko.
