2010 and 2011 have been great years for boxing. yes some seasonal lulls but as far as i can tell there is always big fight to look forward to. quickly off the top of my head, close out the year we got pavlik, then mares, then maidana, leading into the mayweather ortiz fight, then cotto margs rematch and so on... Are we getting lucky or should we expect this to only get better?

Boxing's history is a long one filled with great fights, why would we assume that the future is any less bright. Boxing has one proven leg up over mma; staying power.
not a knock, just a fact.Comment

For the people on here who post in the FNF threads, Shobox, etc...threads, there will always be matches to be excited about. For your average person, there is hardly anything to look forward to for years now.
It will be funny when Pacquiao retires/loses and the volume of posting on here goes down by almost 50%.Comment

I'm gonna tell you right now, there are always good fights to look forward to.Have you ever whated espn friday night fights.I could cut hbo & showtime right now & still have more action on fnf.
Pacman & Floyd are not gods gift to boxing. They are both divas.Look elsewhere if you wanna see quality fights. Ohh showbox on friday night puts in work too.Comment

Once Pacquiao and Mayweather retire I think it'll get better. Maybe the two best fighters of their generation will actually fight in the future.
But I'm too nostalgic to NOT vote for the 3rd one, sure there will ALWAYS be good fights but the popularity of the sport ain't what it used to be.Comment
