So where the hell is George Groves??

You would think that with Degale getting a euro title shot in September that he was the victor of the fight against Groves. I actually felt Degale won that fight, but that's another topic. But anyhow, Groves got the verdict so Why has his career progress stalled and Degale is in the euro mix?

Can't team Hayemaker get him a decent opponent?? Perhaps Warren with all his contacts and experience in the game has managed to pull a few strings with Degale and got him back in the mix.

Groves doesn't have a big name promoter, someone who can buy you ranking or get you title shots when you want, this would hurt him because he beats Degale and he isn't topping it with a shot at the Euro champ or a beltholder in his division.

Then he probably needs to get out of team Hayemaker. I mean no disrespect to Booth and Haye because fans are seriously getting turned off at their style of promotion. If they are having problems in getting opponents, then it will harm George's career.

Degale on the other hand gets the last laugh, if he manages to come through and win the euro strap, right after getting beat, he would rank higher than Groves and make steps closer to world level.

          DeGale beat Groves.

Hopefully the result will refocus DeGale.

A loss early on may have been good for him.

          Time will tell.

Good to see people giving degale credit for his win.

groves is going to have a lot of trouble stepping up. He has a style to beat some opponents but he'll need to find someone with slow footspeed or just unwilling to walk him down.

For me Degale definitely got it by a couple of rounds. I think his trash talk before the fight got him disliked to a point which counted against him. I don't remember Groves landing hardly anything. Was a strange decision but at the time, many felt Groves had won it. Not in my view. Degale showed signs of quality in that fight. Needs to work on a few things. He waited a little too long in the early rounds to get off, but when he did that in the later rounds, he looked very good.

Brian Magee just won the interim WBA belt at the weekend.

Id be surprised if Hayemaker didnt make him a good offer for a fight against Groves
