2011 will end up being a good year for boxing with GBP outperforming TR.

well it was a dumb fight to make in the first place. Looking how shane looked against floyd and mora.

morales maidana is a borderline foty candidate. not a very fair comparison.

with that said. people remember the outcry about morales maidana happening?
It was supposed to be a gimme fight for Maidana, but it backfired.

Top Rank will never, EVER top GBP's 2.4 million PPV record. Unless Pacquiao grows some balls and takes the drug test. And even then, GBP will still be a part of that record, sorry Arum and *******s, hate to burst your bubble.

And yes, GBP always outperforms Top Rank in quality fights.

thanks for looking at this in hindsight.

DO you remember before Morrales vs Maidana how pissed people were at maidana for taking that fight.

Remember now if we think Morrales was shot in his 3rd fight against pacquaio and that was how long ago and somehow think Shane looked bad. Nobody expected anything in the maidana and morrales fight, but nobody expected morrales not to get stopped and putting maidana too school.

Maidana vs morrales at the time looked just as bit as dumb as pacquaio vs shane.

Of course he remembers. He mentioned it the last couple of sentences.

I think GBP makes a better effort to stack a card, but I have no allegiance either way.

Khan, Canelo, Ortiz, Hopkins all increased their star power. On the other side I think only Rios did the same, although Donaire was on the verge and Gamboa still has a chance.

Right, it's not just a matter of who headlines, but what the under-cards are. Again, we are also talking about fights on HBO and anywhere else. I'm not saying these were all or will be great fights, but they were or will be competitive/risky match-ups.

                  Broner/Deleon
                  Ortiz/Berto
                  Maidana/Guerrero
Khan/Judah (this was still a risky matchup)
                  Lara/Williams
                  Mares/Agbeko
                  Mathysee/Alexander

I can't think of anymore off the top of my head, but you guys can see my point. I just don't see TR matching many of their fighters as competitively.

Well the only reason why Pacquiao fans like Top Rank is because he is on there.

Pacquiao fans also seem to have a thing for Kobe Bryant since he said Pacquiao was better than Floyd, lately they have been on NBA forums and NBA youtube videos trying to tell people who have been basketball fans for years who is better.
