  • Comments Thread For: Miranda vs Despaigne Rematch: Both Sides Interested

BoxingScene.com has been advised by promoters Leon Margules and Luis DeCubas Sr., that both sides are intersted in staging a rematch of Friday's exciting light heavyweight clash between Edison Miranda (34-6, 29KOs) and Yordanis Despaigne (9-1, 4KOs).

Good, hopefully this time Miranda can watch where he punches. The final low-blow wasn't his fault though Despaigne pushed Miranda's head down. With how weird things went in the first match-up it wouldn't shock me if we get another DQ some how... The ref should have noticed that but for whatever reason he didn't.

a rematch sounds OK to me -- ref did a bad job all around -- Miranda had no confrol of where his punches landed and was hitting below the belt consistently -- would like to have seen it go into the later rounds -- Despaigne needs to legitimately beat Miranda (if he can) before moving on

Good if it happens...Miranda, to me, looked sluggish and his punches w/no snap and weren't really bother the cuban...the 1st low blow shouldn't have had a pt deduction/no warning and it was not flagerent or intentional...Drakulich did a poor job, overall...

A rematch is a good idea, Miranda had something going before the DQ. Despaigne looked good but the acting job was over the top.

              make it happen

that fight was just starting to heat up. it looked like a good match. miranda still has power at 175. his hands looked pretty fast considering

and despaigne is a young fighter who will be worth watching down the line

let them go 12 and make it a main event on espn

i got a good fight for you guys...
