In a bantamweight war, Ana Maria Torres won a close unanimous ten round decision over Jackie Nava to become the first female to capture the Diamond Belt of the World Boxing Council (WBC). The card was presented by HG Boxing Promotions and Zanfer at the Metropolitan Arena in Chiapas, Mexico. Earlier this year they fought to a close draw.

I have to agree with the Poster above but I think Round 9 and 10 just Made the Difference on the Damage on Nava from Torres connecting the hardest punches made more of an impact,

goes to show people only appreciate power really...i mean, being objective, Nava got the better of Torres for 80% of that fight......in two rounds Torres got his ass thoroughly beat but landed a bomb in each round....i dunno, seems a bit unfair that she got the decision when Nava is clearly a much better fighter...


still, boxing fans who usually don't appreciate women boxing should enjoy this fight...it was pretty good....

Torres won the fight. It was good to see her win since everyone was rooting for Nava, including the biased-ass commentators. Torres landed the better shots and really messed up Nava's face. That sweet left hook was landing all night.

This was a great fight. To bad the rounds where only two minutes. Every time i looked the round was almost over. But i had ana winning. The rounds where short hence if one would land a good flurrie they would win the round. But nava impressed me. She has a great technique.

I Agree lol i was on boxingscene and each time I would notice it was already minute 1 with 30 but it was a very good war

i thought nava won that fight, althought she was gassin out towards the end. she was gettin hammered pertty bad, her face shows it. nava is a better boxer all around but i guess she got tired

great fight anyways bring on the 3rd fight!
