His best fights were probably at the end of his career with Rosendo Alvarez, both fights were wars, I would have liked to have seen Lopez go up & fight Michael Carbajal round about 93/94 that would have been special. He most likely doesn't get much recognition because he was a lower weight fighter, I always remember Carbajal was the first light flyweight to get a $1million dollar purse for one of his fights with Humberto Gonzalez so the little guys don't get much recognition usually which is a shame.

"Finito" Lopez is by far one of Mexicos best fighters I think he is the one of the only if not the only Mexican fighter to retire undifeated, and a champion. And like its said people dont really remember him as much because he is in the smaller weight class. But he was and still is a true Mexican champion. If anybody has any clips please post them I would love to see.

I too would have loved to see Lopez tangle with either Carbahajl or Gonzalez...I think he was to s ound and would have carved either man up but who knows?

If you havent seen Lopez then get both fights vs. Alvarez (Alvarez was a lighter weight version of JL Castillo) they are should be on every fight fans must see list.

Lopez had it all Jack,he was the most beautifull thing to watch in the ring.

I was gonna play this just in case no one wanted to pay me.
