Comments Thread For: Gary Russell Jr. Likely Co-Feature To Berto-Zaveck

Sources have advised BoxingScene.com that "it is looking very likely that it will be Gary Russell Jr." in the Sept. 3 HBO co-feature to Andre Berto's bout with Jan Zaveck in Biloxi, Miss. The featherweight, who shares the same manager as Berto -- Al Haymon -- last fought on the Amir Khan-Zab Judah undercard, defeating Eric Estrada over eight one-sided rounds, of which highlights were shown on HBO.

they are kinda rushing this card together, but it's looking good:
              berto vs. zavec
              bailey vs. tba
              gary russell vs. tba

any ideas who they are going to match bailey against? probably one of the high IBF ranked guys.

JR vs someone w/an inflated record/w/no punch...time to start vs fighters that bring something to the table...w/his amateur experience and his pro record, w/some spoon-feeding....time to get serious and take a big step...do it russell and see what happens...
