    Hussein's corner throwing the towel

Did you guys think it was a good move?
Hussein looked like he was still ready to go even
after being decked again by Arce.....

I was a bit puzzled with that decision to throw in towel. Arce was takin Hussein apart but his corner should have waited till the end of the round at least then seen how their fighter was! Imagine Corrales corner threw the towel in after the second knockdown of the First Corrales-Castillo match! Hussein may have turned it round although I highly doubt it!

Hussein could have definitely gone on. Not necessarily win it, but at least finish the fight more respectably. I think Jeff Fenech could have given his fighter more time in the ring. Hussein was still up for the fight at that point. Too bad it had to end that way for him...

well there is more to it.....hussein has all the goods to be a top class boxer, but obviously he lacks the mental part to be one....

so with the rematch with arce he had to be 100% mentally focussed to do well, and obviously after the first KD, that mental focus went.....

and then when the second kd came, Fenech didn't bother seeing his fighter get battered and called it a night!!

Hussein was going to lose regardless, that was obvious. I think his corner wanted to save him from a worse beating more than them thinking he couldn't continue. Hussy was always overrated in my view anyhow. His biggest accomplishment is going the distance with Wonjongkam, who did drop Hussein in their fight.

That's the only Wonjongkam fight I've seen. I could just tell from that fight that Wonjongkam is no joke. It isn't a sure thing that Arce would beat him. The guy Wonjongkam is fighting he already knocked out in one round before. Its the guy's only loss. I wish they'd show it to spark interest in an Arce vs. Wonjongkam fight.

Wonjongkam (as well as other thai boxers) usually fights using homecourt advantage. very seldom do i see thai fighters fights at the west.

Wonjongkam is a prized boxer in thailand, they (thai) respect and idolized him. I don't know if they risk him fighting out of their motherland.

But for the two, if WOnjongkam would be fighting arce at thailand, arce has a slim chance (IMO).

                  yes, he's thai.

the problem is, he doesn't have any descent opponents these days. his next is a japanese w/ a 27-1-2 record. before that, an 11-26-3 thai for 6 rounds.

his record is 57-2-0 but still fights for 6 rounds, not too many good opponents coz he don't leave asia to fight.

yeah and as I said earlier, the guy he's fighting next, 27-1-2 record, he already knocked that guy out in 1 round. this time he'll take probably around 6 rounds.
