I couldn't agree more. While watching Friday Night Farce last week, my wife walked in while Teddy was giving his analysis ever so eloquently and asked "What's wrong with that guy?! He can't talk!"

As much as I would like to see this fight, the outcome is meaningless. Neither fighter deserves a #1 ranking and there is no point in either of them fighting the Klitschkos again. So I can understand why the networks would pass. No possibility of fireworks, so point in the outcome.

Chris Arreola who has the same promoter as Chambers and Thompson, never has any problem getting his fights on TV because of his aggressive, crowd-pleasing style.
I don't want to see Wlad fight Chambers again. The fight with Chambers was the dullest Wlad fight I've ever watched except for the KO, because Chambers was in 100% survival mode from the 3rd round onward and just ran.
I don't care for a second fight with Thompson either, but it wouldn't be quite as bad.
I would prefer to see Wlad fight Arreola.Last edited by The Hammer; 07-29-2011, 10:31 AM.

Still, Chambers vs Thompson is better than a lot of the crap ESPN puts on. I'd rather watch a good heavyweight scrap than these little guys buzzing around like mosquitoes.

The only reason that I don't like this fight is because Chambers and Thompson are better than all the Euro Heavyweights with the exception of Helenius.
They should just each go across the ocean and kick the **** out of the soft ass Euro Heavies to build appeal for them to come back to fight here.
Watching Chambers beat the **** out of Dimitrenko who was 6 inches and 50 lbs bigger was one of the funniest moments in boxing the past few years.
What made it all the funnier is how all the Euro posters on here nuthugged the **** out of him and called him the future only to pretend they didn't think he was any good when Chambers kicked his ass.
Dimitrenko looked like he was going to break down and cry the way midget Chambers was schooling his ass.
.
I'd love to see that fight again and Thompson against Mormeck, Pulev or Fury

I didn't know a lot about Dimitrenko when Chambers fought him, but he looked bad in that fight. I thought he was losing to Sosnowski too until he got the very late KO.
Helenius is the best of the upcoming Euros for sure. Boytsov never fights so I can't tell if he's any good or not. He has some nice YouTube clips knocking out unknowns, but that's not enough.

Wach actually has some decent boxing skills, but he's just not coordinated or fast enough to look good doing what he does.
Mariusz has some amateur achievements, for example he won Silver in the EU amateur tournament in 2004.

Mariusz has never been down or stopped as an amateur or as a pro, although he fought some strong punchers in the amateurs like Cammarelle and Helenius.Last edited by The Hammer; 07-29-2011, 11:43 AM.

I gotta side with the networks on this one. On paper, Chambers-Thompson has "borefest" written all over it. Thompson didn't look all that good in his last fight albeit he got the KO and Chambers's last fight against Rossy wasn't even televised so no one knows if he looked good or not. It is worth pointing out that Chambers demolished Rossy and their first fight several years ago but decisioned him the second time around (I don't know if that is a case of Rossy improving and/or Chambers regressing).
