Yes the rematch was no different even if it was controversial.

"Inactive" is a nice way of saying that he was basically retired, married out in Hollywood to a film star and living it up, partying like a crazy man for over 3 years. And he was 32 years old, after having had a tough boxing life.
Tunney was lucky they hadn't met a few years earlier when Dempsey was younger, battle hardened and a legit killer. They were both really only light cruiserweights by todays standards, and Tunney had been the USA Light Heavy Champ just a couple of years before he fought Dempsey.Comment
