do companies like top rank, etc pay for a young prospects expenses when they are training in a fight? im just trying to figure out how someone like deontay wilder is surviving

Very often, they do.
Remember, Top Rank has their own gym. Mayweather Promotions has their own gym. Otherwise, Jessie vargas and Said Ouali would be spending money.
So, yes. Promoters and managers fund the early part of a hot prospect's career.
