  • Why didn't HBO televise Pacquiao/Mosley?

Since Pacquiao has been their biggest fish I'm surprised the bout was televised on Showtime. Anyone knows why HBO dropped it?

They knew it was going to be a failure and an ********.

    And it was.

FYI televise is when it's free HBO.

HBO didn't want to air Cotto-Mayorga on PPV for March 12, instead they decided to televise Martinez-Dzinzuruk on WCB for March 12.

Bob Arum did not like this, so he went to Showtime for Cotto-Mayorga, and Arum still holding a grudge for HBO not taking the shity Cotto-Mayorga fight, he took Pacquiao-Mosley to Showtime as well. He gave HBO a "chance" to outbid Showtime, but in the end he had no intentions of working with HBO.

So that's why. It all started with HBO not wanting Cotto-Mayorga.

Not showing Cotto-Mayorga may have started the process of arum looking elsewhere but he wouldn't have taken the fight to Showtime if he didn't get a great deal. HBO dropped the ball on that one. He has always had intentions with working with HBO, as many of his fighters have been on HBO since.

And yeah, for the record I thought Cotto-mayorga was more interesting and pleasing to watch than Martinez-Dzinzuruk, which I"m sure did **** ratings.

They rejected Cotto-Martirosyan. The Mayorga fight was not offered to HBO.

that was a big part of it, it was viewed as a big blunder on his part. That only added to a long list of bad mistakes he's made over the years with boxing.
