im a huge cotto fan, but castillo would win.
i do belive cotto has better skills, but castillo has more power, and a outstanding chin. cottos chin wouldnt take the punches, he did show great heart, but castillo is a dam good finisher.

I don't think Cotto will be ****** enough to trade with Castillo or else he will get KTFO in 5, but if he moves uses his hand speed and boxes, UD for Cotto.

Most posters that are picking Castillo are Mexican, but I hope they are giving an honest opinion on this.

I personally think that this fight would be huge, since it would be another PR-Mex showdown with high stakes. If Cotto wins, he becomes a true superstar in Trinidad's class. If Castillo wins, he becomes a two division champion and becomes mainstream, since he will be "The guy who beat Cotto".

Now the fight. I think that Miguel has better overall skills than Jose Luis, but Castillo's in-fighting can't be any better. He is dangerous in close quarters. I can see Cotto winning a decision if he uses a plan similar to the one used against Lovemore N'Dou. On the other hand, I can also see Castillo punishing Cotto to the body and then catching him upstairs like he did Chico last night, although I don't see Cotto going down from one shot. Castillo would have to be patient and probably give away some early rounds like he did against Mayweather in the second fight. All in all, this is a tremendous fight and I would really like to see it happen.

I think it could be a very good fight. I think Castillo would come out victorious, but I see it as a hard fought battle. It could however, be an early KO for Castillo. Castillo probably should be fighting at 140 at this stage in his career, and I think he could be a force at super lightweight.

Cotto does get wobbled easily, but he's shown great resislience in the past. He has the devasting left hook to the body and he might be able to wear down Castillo if he targeted that punch. Also, Cotta throws good combinations, so if he kept Castillo on the defensive, he might make it a good fight.

If they got inside and just traded, I think Cotto would get knocked out like Corrales did. This could be debatable, but seeing as Cotto gets wobbled easily, one punch by Castillo could make him unsteady and then Castillo would have instincts to put him down. But if they boxed and only traded occasionally, I think it could be a great fight.

I'd give Cotto a few more tune-up fights before throwing him against a guy like Castillo. He's still young and has shown he can fight through trouble, but I think he could use a bit more experience before he went up against a veteran like Castillo.

I think Castillo may be a bit too much for Cotto. But who knows? This is a fight I want to see. I'm already sold on it.

I think Cotto would win. Cotto is an outstanding boxer puncher and if he comes in with the right gameplan he can decision Castillo. If Cotto is willing to trade with Castillo it will be a short night, but I've never seen Cotto do that with guys who are supposed big punchers or good punchers.
