how much does genetics play in boxing in terms of cuts/swells?

i mean, what causes Pavel Wolak to swell up like that?

but i never see a Mexican fighter swell up like that?

Jose luis Castillo could have got hit with a nbat and not a mark

Its not a complexion thing. We've all see Hasim Rahman

    Any scientific explanations

Genetics, but not necessarily racial genetics. Joe Frazier's face used to swell up like a balloon. As for Mexicans not swelling, Margarito did a pretty good impression of the elephant man against Manny.

Erik Morales's eye swelling vs Maidana wasn't as bad as Wolak's, but it certainly was comparable.
