    Untapped Market - iTunes?

Wouldn't putting (GOOD) fights up on iTunes for $.99 two weeks after as well as classic fights for $1.99 be an extremely smart promotional tool for promoters? Aside from extra revenue what about the non-fans that happen upon Humberto Soto vs Urbano Antillion or Sergio Martinez vs Paul Williams (either)? They will know the fighters and become fans.

Potentially a great idea. I guess it might be difficult to get agreement from all parties etc.

This is the only reason why you can't find the great fights on DVD and Blu-ray. You'd have to split the pot between HBO/Showtime, promoters, fighters, managers, trainers, commissions, sanctions, etc.

lol, you need to pay money to staff to digitize the fights into iTunes compatible format, pay MORE than HALF to ITUNES for them selling it for you, split it with everyone.

Even if you sell 10,000 fights for $1 each that means you might get 3-4k from Itunes and then you have to pay the people.

****** idea, what the promoters or HBO need to do is setup a VOD section on their websites for a small fee or where you can buy a "Library" Pass that you can watch all fights in HBO Archive for like $20 or $30 a month.
