Unfortunately, I think your right. At the very least I would hope that he can learn to protect his chin a little better. That would go a LONG way toward improving him as a fighter. I think the first big shot he took from Ortiz affected him the rest of the fight and played a big role in his performance. He wasn't the same after that.

in the ukraine? sure. but since no US boxer worth anything wants to fight outside the US, senchenko may well have the title for a while. it's not gonna earn him much global popularity or bigger paychecks.
berto got lucky with zavec as he expressed his wish to fight in the US a while ago.
i'd like to say though that zavec attracts 12,000 crowds in slovenia, and 250.000 TV views with 450.000 peak. whatever happens in the US is gonna be a setback for zavec for sure. i just hope his purse is any bigger than 50.000€ (75.000$) that he got in his last fight against delgado.
berto should be nowhere near 1 mil$ checks at this time of his career.

also i'd like to point out zavec is not 'germany based slovenian' like the article says. he's a slovenian living in slovenia and doing all conditioning here as well. he does have a german boxing licence, and does his training camps in magdeburg, germany where his club and trainer reside.
this is the same ridiculousness like calling saul alvarez 'american based mexican' because he does his training camps in big bear, CA.

Senchenko? He will never, ever fight anyone with a pulse. Although he has talent, he is the biggest fraudulent champion in boxing today because he has been sitting on a belt defending against terrible comp for more than two years

Zavack-Berto is a good fight, no matter the location.
Berto isn't great but he will be Zavack's biggest test, and a win could lead to better things for Zavack.

I'm looking very positive into upcomming match vs Andre Berto. It will be a tough match for sure. Berto is few classes better opponent than Zavec was facing last few fights. I must agree with someone who already said that Zavec must win this fight over KO. Not just win, he must crush Berto just for the reason of comming to US grounds and no doubts that Dejan will squeeze every last atom of strenght to succeed.

I really want to see Berto falling on the floor on 1080P HBO stream, so I put my bets on Zavec.
