I dont think he can beat Ruiz.
If Valuev beats Ruiz should He fight Vitali for a unification title?

Right! Wlad should fight him first, not Vitali. I think the big Russian will beat Ruiz, but only because Ruiz is probably the worst heavyweight "champ" ever. (Let's face it: The other-than-Holmes champions of the 80s would've beaten Ruiz, and THEY were called subpar.) I think Valuev could also beat Byrd, whose ability if not desire has deteriorated vastly in the past couple of years. Byrd couldn't reach him or hurt him. Other than those two fighters, the big Russian had better watch out, or else he'll get clobbered. Timber! :-oComment

Yeah but Ruiz makes everyone look bad, he beat Rahman, Oquendo, Holyfield even Golata, I dont like Ruiz but he always manages to win.Comment

As I already posted this in another thread... don't feel like repeating myself....
Here is my opinion on the topic
Originally posted by The CoolerI don't know why some believe that Valuev will nothing less than "destroy" Ruiz?
Valuev has no 'inside' skills..
I'd say he has no skills at all other than his size advantage, but that would be exaggerating.. he has some C level skills add his size advantage and he can compete with the B level competition.
Ruiz is a valid champion and Valuev will not stand a chance against him.
Ruiz likes to work on the inside and will school Valuev and make him look like an amateur.
Valuev cannot defend himself on the inside and will be easily outboxed by Ruiz, Toney, Byrd, Brock.
Vitali, Wlad, Brewster are all too fast and too technical and would give Valuev a beating on the outside..
Either way you look at it, Valuev stands no chance with any of the guys listed above, but this is just my assessment... so who knows..
I think Valuev should be fighting guys like:
McCline, Maskaev, McBride, Kirk Johnson, Whitaker, maybe even Peter... and he can be successful against most of them... but he is not ready for better competition.Comment

Cant agree more, Peter would be a nice fight for him, to see if he could take a punch..Even though I think Peter might lay him out..lol..Originally posted by The CoolerAs I already posted this in another thread... don't feel like repeating myself....

Peter lands enough damage and drops Valuev in the 4th round (perhaps sooner)Originally posted by onetwopunchCant agree more, Peter would be a nice fight for him, to see if he could take a punch..Even though I think Peter might lay him out..lol..
Peter is one tough skill-less SOBComment

Valuev should beat Ruiz by ko or decision, is this fight going down in december??? or whats the deal. I dont tihnk Valuev would do good against either of Klitschkos, but hes on his way, he has great movement for a big guy, he needs to work on his defense he gets hit a lot, and versus a big puncher that could be trouble, If the Ruiz Valuev fight is gonna happen Im gonan look forward to it...Comment
