Hes got Adamantium (Wolverines indestructible Skeleton) in his chin for reals.

He gets outweighed regularly on fight night by 15+ pounds has taken some shots flush on the chin that would've at least wobbled if not straight up ktfo ordinary men. But there are other great chins in boxing (Glen Johnson, Vitali, Holyfield etc)

It's kind of like when Mayweather reactively smiles when hes hit cleanly.

And yeah, i'm talking about when he taps his gloves together. Not the other thing you mentioned.
See I would classify that Mayweather smile as showboating as well. They aren't necessarily playing to the crowd, but they are using it to intimidate. Like the story about when Foreman tagged Ali. Ali said, "Is that all you got George?" and in interviews since then George says he thought to himself, "yeah thats about all I got." It isn't necessarily showboating to the crowd, but it is showing off to your opponent and the crowd can visibly see it.

I'm not a ped expert, but seriously do they improve your chin? Sounds ridiculous but what do i know.

You are readily equating boxers' natural and unadulterated reactions (when they get hit) as their expression of intimidation towards the other. Not necessarily.

It is more likely saying: "Ok, you got me there" then proceeding to psyche themselves up inorder to "recover" from it. In Pacquiao's case, it is akin towards self-expression of:

              • "let's get it on!, I am ready!"

Rate Pac's "body"...we haven't seen him face fighters smart enough to work the body in many many years.
I think he's pretty good in the body also. Margarito caught him with a liver shot at the end of the 6th when he got tangled with the hold down strap. His knees bent and he almost went down but his legs were able to hold up and get away. He lets his sparring partners go at his body as part of his training, he just holds his arms way up in the air and let them get free shots.

Man, that's my favorite part is when he either smacks his gloves together or hits his head with them, because you know he's going to raise it up another level. When he gets hit with a good shot it actually fires him up more, when he does those things you know and he knows that he just got hit with a good shot and he's gonna bring it harder and he's gonna go after the other guy.

they dont. have nothing to do with that. i guess if u use the peds to get bigger neck/back/and leg muscles it helps. maybe that and taking epo and other stamina strengthening drugs will keep a fighter from being more susceptible to a knockout after tiring out

No it doesn't but it has been proven that not being drained improves your chin... ask kahn, cotto, martinez, etc.
