Probably, but I bet Floyd is happy that Ortiz won because of his Mexican fanbase.

Why would Al Haymon put Berto against Floyd? Doesn't make sense, he'd lose money.

No, he'd have ducked him for another easy HBO payday. Fortunately Ortiz put an end to all that ****.

Whats up with the good luck for floyd? If he had fought Berto I don't think his ppv would do as good as fighting Ortiz. Still, why would Al Haymon put one of his fighters against his other fighter? When has he done that?

Mayweather is the biggest cash cow in boxing and he needs to fight in order to for Al Haymon to get paid. So feeding the undefeated Berto to Mayweather(Earth to Sun comparison) makes a lot of sense after "the vacation." Like others, I believe Mayweather was sitting ringside in order to hype up a potential Berto bout.

Back to the TS question. Berto was supposed to destroy Ortiz because of the "quitter" label. So I believe a Mayweather Vs Berto PPV would have done the same because Mayweather would carry the PPV and Berto is still "a perfect but undefeated fighter."

doubt it, Berto is one of the worst ticket sellers in the championship ranks.
