It's like comparing the Ford Model T to a Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4. Different class, different time.
There is a problem with some of the very early hall of famers because the sport and fighting styles were drastically different when gloves were 4 ounces. But things from the mid-30's on were fairly modern, and unfortunately many great fighters are penalized because there is little to no footage of them.

Unfortunately because of this people think of a lot of these old time fighters as crude simple fighters that lacked skills and substance and were "primitive".

Some of them were just tough guys, but a lot of them were very very slick. They had to be. They fought some times 3 times a week, with gloves that offered much less protection than gloves do today.

We're not looking for if a fighter was over the hill or not. We're just counting victories over Hall of Famer's. This might lead to who the greatest fighter of all time was/is.....

Holyfield has to be up there too.

This should be based on people that are already HOFs with a nice bump after a group gets inducted.

Robinson, Ali, Armstrong are up there.

Can't really put Pac or May anywhere near those guys yet cos a lot of the guys they have faced aren't even officially in the HOF.
