Tson fury has alot of potential

    Note i said potential.

TBH i had not really seen in fight. Chisora is a solid european level opponent.

Not only does tyson have a good jab, but he has some excellent combos and hand speed for someone his size.

With even more imporved conditioning i think in 3/4 years time he could be a real threat to the world honours.

The guy is a true traveller though, so diet and personal problems could get in his way. But the dude has very good skills...

    I have to say I don’t agree.

He has little power in his shots and struggles to let them go freely.

His footwork is erratic and his shots clumsy.

His only natural attribute is his size, but in terms of natural born boxing ability, I don’t see it. He’s just a lump.

I will say this for him though, he’s a bloody gentleman outside the ring and a credit to the sport in terms of how he conducts himself. A certain Bermondsey fighter could learn a few lessons on this.

But as a boxer, he’s just a lump waiting to be chopped down.

I think he’d beat Rogan (anther LUMP), but stick him in with Perez for example and I wouldn’t give him a baker’s dozen.

    Britain’s Tye Fields.

If there is potential then I can't see it.

He is going down against Wlad, Haye or anybody else at the top of heavyweight.

          very uncoordinated

very little power for a bloke that size

but i like his mental approach
          he's very relaxed

and when he uses it he's got a decent jab (his best moments were when he was sticking it out there an backing chisora into corners where he could do nothing but take punches and gesture to the crowd)

he can be a fun HW
and he's only 23, so he might start to hit harder as he fills out

but he's not very talented outside of his his dimensions.

good post, though i think he's more of a born fighter // raised fighter than fields, who was athletic enough to play division one basketball on scholarship in the states

fields is actually pretty good athlete for his size
            and he's a huge puncher

            now that you mention it
i want to see them fight haha

fury has a good chin, too
he took some bombs from chisora
who, if nothing else, can throw single punches and knock a man out if he hits them flush

the fact is wladimir has only evolved to his level now because of the fact he was wiped out in three fights he himself said he needed re-modelling completely and emmanuel stewart did the great job with him he has done, but at that time he was a slugger who did not have the piston jab and style he has now which is so hard to deal with, so fury at his inexperienced young age has a solid chin a good jab and sometimes deceptive hand speed but he has obvious potential to develop to settle more into his style with more experience, he can look clumsy sometimes but he will combat that with experience if the raw tools he has now can be developed he could dominate heavyweight boxing but i think he needs a world class trainer like freddie roach stewart etc to develop him to that level

someone needs to teach him some pop in his punches, but he has talent and potential, but he needs, like everyone on this thread has said, someone to guide him like Steward and mould him into a top level fighter. for now, hes still a prospect, but an entertaining one at that
