I would attribute his early amateurishness to his nerves . He always starts his fights in a bundle of energy . The same thing was happening early in the Malignaggi fight and he looked a different fighter towards the end finding a consistent rythm for his jab and stepping in with the right hand . After the fourth round against zab when he found his rythm I knew it wasn't going the distance . Good shout on his footwork . He was looking really composed , commanding the centre of the ring , knowing when to back off unlike earlier fights where he looked awkward

i largely disagree with the footwork thing. it wasn't all bad by any means but most of his attacks are basically throw a bunch of very fast shots whilst stumbling forwards which means he ends up right on top of his opponent and clinching or sometimes headbutting (accidentally but lets be honest its because he is very clumsy and does it with effect pretty much every time out). that's not what i call good footwork at all although it works for him i suppose.
if he could remain poised enough to step out again, step off or even keep working, then i would be far more impressed but as it is he can't transition between distances effectively like someone like pacquiao or gamboa does. he runs in all guns blazing so his opponent can't really do much and they probably get caught by a few and then khan ends up so on top of them before they have chance to fire back.
however against malinaggi he did box better in that respect but i think probably because he didn't have to worry about getting caught so he could take more risks.
like i say it works for him but ain't pretty. he's better than haye but this lack of quality footwork they both have will only take them so far i think, like haye getting exposed by wlad i reckon khan will get exposed badly by someone like mayweather, but he'll go far other than that, bit like hatton as well who was lacking a few fundamentals which showed up bad against the creme de la creme.Comment

Khan has always had flaws but throwing 4 punches and missing looks better than the other guy just ducking and jumping back. No one wins that particular exchange.
His left hook countered zkudsh well. His rig lead is starting to come along, and his jab is pretty awesome.
As for the waiting bit, it is actually very good because not many can pick that apart. His has long arms and is fast, so if you both punch at the same time, chances are, you'll get hit back.
Rushing in all the time isn't good at all. However when you are facing a guy that is almost in defensive mode with a busted face, he will make it hard for you!Comment

Khan followed Roach's gameplan to a tee. If you watch the fight carefully Khan had his eyes on Judah's left hand all the time and he would move to judah's right or wait a little bit when Judah was looking to throw that left hand.Comment

Only saw the fight once live. All I saw was Khan missing a lot, Judah not making him pay for it, when Khan landed it did damage. So an inaccurate puncher with good speed and power vs a some what elusive fighter who barely threw any meaningful punches. Khan won every round though. He's just so inaccurate, against a Judah who some people say is not even slick, I think he is pretty elusive. But let's say Judah is not slick, then I feel bad for Khan when he does face a slick fighter. McCloskey and Judah made him like crazy, Khan almost looked like a slow moving come forward fighter with fast hands. Looks like Khan can be outboxed by a good slick counter puncher, easily. McCloskey and Judah are not counterpunchers so too bad, they made Khan miss but didn't come back with anything.Comment

It prevents them getting their shots off while Khan is gradually breaking them down round by round.
Khan's combination of height, reach, speed and workrate make him alot to deal with over 12 rounds, like you said though a good counter puncher could take advantage which is why Bradley needs to fight him. Bradley's an underrated counter puncher and i think he could make Khan think about darting in. Bradley doesn't have good power but he has enough power to make Khan respect it imo.
Unfortunately, Bradley doesn't want none.Comment

To Amir's credit, he did his job well & Judah as well as McCloskey are tough fighters to look good against. At the same time Judah was far from being prime & has always failed when put against the best.
What I like about Pac is that when his opponents are tough and skilled, he raise his game up, I still haven't seen if Khan can do the same against a real threat.Comment

dude whipped Zab ass period. there is no way you can twist it around to make it less than what it was. i picked Zab by KO but ima keep it 100 and not act like it was something other than a thrashingComment
