To answer the question, yes he would have dropped him.
But i don't think Khan nowadays would get caught by those kind of punches. Khan isn't as wreckless as Bradley when throwing punches. Bradley was going all out in that exchange when he got dropped, Khan just wouldn't go into the fight with that mindset especially in the first round.Comment

If Holt landed that left hook on Khans chin, Khan would have been out cold. He would probably have left Roach as his trainer after the fight and went to train with Steward and taken a couple soft fights to try and once again rebuild his confidence. Then he would have both Prescott and Holt chasing him around talking **** that hes scared to fight them again.
Khan does not have a good chin. Just because he hasnt been laid out lately doesnt mean his chin is granite because its not. Every time hes been hit clean on the chin he wobbles a bit. Maidana wobbled him and had him hurt badly on his feet and Maidana is slow as hell compared to Holt. Holt would have slept Khan with that shot that dropped Bradley. I honestly thought the fight was over when he landed that left hook on Bradley, it was that good of a shot. Bradley has a better chin than Khan and thats not something you can debate because its obvious that Khan has a weaker chin.Comment

That combo would've knocked down anyone. Holt is a tremendous puncher. Problem with Holt is that he only fights in spurts and sometimes seems unable to pull the trigger.
Against Khan, Holt's lack of work rate would certainly make it hard for him to land that punch, especially when Khan is peppering him with his lightening fast hands. But IF Holt landed that shot, I'm not sure Khan could take it as well as Tim did.Comment

Yes, it would have dropped Khan. When a Showtime fight has a punch that ends up on the Sports Center top 10, you know that s**t was deadly. It looked like he went to sleep when it lifted him up and woke up after he hit the canvas. I still can't believe he got up from that type of shot.Comment

If Khan fought Holt he would make him look like the C level fighter he is, he wouldn’t get caught by that punch he would both dominate and stop Holt.
As for that particular punch there is no way of telling. If you was to say before the Maidana fight Khan would take all his best shots and still be on his feet most people would have laughed at you.
People need to stop dwelling on the Prescott fight Khan has come a long way.Comment
