merchant is not only the more skilled commentator, but also the more intelligent and nicer person, so I'd have to go with merchant. he also has a better since of humor than grey.

grey's a ****head.

Merchant by default. I hate his philosophical speeches and I hate how he just screws up the energy of a fight by being negative.

yeah, his philosophical speeches piss me off, like hes trying to be a ****ty author.

i dont like either but i dont have to put up with grey cuz i dont have SHO.

Larry Merchant by a mile. Merchant can be an idiot, but he's funny. Jim Grey is just a prick.

I remember after the Tyson-Francis fight Mike Tyson got a little agitated with Gray when Gray told Mike to wipe his nose. Tyson then made a remark about Pete Rose (who Gray slated some time earlier) and said to Gray "I'm man enough to squash you and be your friend". It was funny, you could see the life draining out of Gray's face as he thought Mike was going to pummel him.
