Castillo modified his way of attack, that ultimately allowed himt to win.

In the first fight Castillo was all forward all the time trying to bully the Taller Corrales. He felt he had the upperhand on the inside and that was not entirely true as he often got hit very well by corrales on the inside.

In the second fight Castillo it has come to my conclusion that Castillo while didnt fight completely from range, modified his plan to go from range to inside to range again. If you watch the fight, the fight starts with a big shot from Castillo from range, then proceeds to some inside fighting where Corrales holds his own very well, When castillo backs up he popped corrales witht he jab numerous times to keep him at bay and landed most of his big stuff not from the inside but from a distance.

It was Corrales trying to close the distance, and Castillo going back and occasionally back in when he saw fit. He also punished chico with bigger shots from a distance when Chico missed. In close that was much harder to do.

the one thing i noticed that Castillo was doing differently, was that he was taking a step back when Corrales was trying to get his shots off.

I'm not dissapointed in Corrales at all. I'm dissapointed in what happened tonight. I respect Corrales even more now!

Yes Castillo popped him with a better harder jab than Corrales has ever thrown. When they were at distance Corrales tried to throw his jab but Castillo was slipping it and jabbing him in the face. Corrales also missed almost all his punches at distance and Castillo countered him.

I think Corrales knows he can't stay on the outside and beat Castillo but it's his fans who think he can easily do it. Corrales even admitted that some of Castillo's best punches were from the outside. Castillo was just overall better than Corrales last night in every way. On the inside he was better, on the ouside he was better and his defense was much better than in the first fight where he just stood and took shots.
