1st fight - The Mouth Guard:
Corrales did not cheat, regardless of whether or not he purposely let go of his mouth guard or just dropped it he did what he had to do to give himself the best chance to win. Tony Weeks made the correct decision by deducting a point, this was just a case where the correct decision was not necessarily the right thing to do. With the knockdowns and the point deduction all Castillo had to do was stay on his feet but he got careless and got KO'ed.
2nd fight - The Weight:
Alot of people are saying "it was only 2 pounds, it wouldn't have made a difference". It's not the 2 pounds that matters, but the fact Castillo didn't have to go through what Corrales went through to lose those last 2 pounds. Corrales had to kill himself to make 135 which drains your body, Castillo weighed in at 137 then came back an hour later weighing 138.5 which makes it look like he had no intention of even trying to make weight.
The bottom line is it is very unprofessional for a fighter not to make weight, let alone in the biggest fight of his career. Regardless of this, Corrales didn't lose the fight because of the weight issues. It didn't help but the reason Corrales lost was how he fought. Instead of boxing from the outside he choose to go inside and left himself very open. This would have led to him been KO'ed in any circumstances.
