The main impact of the punch lands legit on the belt line. What people didnt see is before it landed, there was a slight contact below the belt line on the way up - this can be seen on the first replay video of hbo that even stewart thought it was a low blow.

Main impact was on the belt line but maybe something got caught on the way... Give the man the benefit of the doubt.

Perhaps you are the one with the clouded judgement seeing as how you have another British fighter in your avatar but I digress.

I appreciate your willingness to educate me on the subtle nuances of the boxing sport. The next time I feel I'm in need of some professional boxing etiquette I'll hit you up.

A body punch takes him down, the ref has seen* it as a body punch. The ref has one obligation in this situation - to count.

ONLY if the ref understands there to be an alternative cause - not caused by a punch or an illegal blow - for the fighter going down, ONLY then is the referee supposed to inquire.

This is the fight game, it is a pain game. Knockouts by body blows are common. Referees don't pat the hurt fighter on the back and ask, "You alright kid?" They count. If the fighter fails to make the count, he loses.

      * You may think the referee has done a bad job here because he was, to some degree, on the blind side. That is a different debate. Only the ref himself knows what he saw and how confident he was, and he showed no signs that he thought this was anything other than a valid shot.

Also notice how Judah does not dispute the shot until after the count.
