I'm a Ricky Hatton fan, and it's true... Ricky Hatton is in a lucky situation at the moment.

There are so many exciting matchups out there for him at the moment!

Floyd Mayweather, Jose Luis Castillo, Miguel Cotto, Zab Judah, Antonio Margarito, Diego Corrales, so on and so on...

    Quality!

Yeah, but he'll never take any of them. Whether it's his promoter, or him, we aren't going to see half of those fights.

Sadly, it's looking the same way for Floyd right now.

I think Ricky Hatton is a lot more of an intelligent fighter than Castillo. Hatton uses educated pressure, he feints as he comes in and his head movement is much better than Castillo.

I don't think Hatton would KO Castillo... But I think Hatton would out-box Castillo to an easy UD.
Tszyu is better on the outside than Castillo but Castillo is pretty damn good from the outside as well. Castillo is by far the better inside fighter than Tszyu. Tszyu needs space to punch. Castillo can punch from the inside or the outside and be effective.

I could see that Castillo is still a little underrated by people. His pressure is just as educated as Hatton or even more. He isn't just some wild slugger as shown in the rematch against Corrales. He used in and out movement at times against Corrales and his defense is very underrated as he showed in the rematch as well. He doesn't use alot of head movement but he does pick off alot of shots with his gloves.

castillo would knock out hatton. hes too young for castillo, and castillo is very experienced, fought and seen many different stilos (floyd, diego, casamayor)too much too soon for hatton.
and kosta, well i think castillo gets the better of him. pressuring him, boxing at times mixing it up. i think kosta is a good fighter, but very overated. he beat who? a young zab, old chavez, and some guy named shambay mitchell.

Hatton would TKO Castillo around 10 or 11. Castillo isn't tougher then Tszyu and Tszyu has much more boxing ability. Hatton is the stronger, faster fighter and has much better footwork then Castillo. For someone at an elite level, Castillo has very bad footwork.

I don't think this fight would be close at all. Hatton would be pitching a shutout until he TKOs Castillo in the 10th or 11th.

I know everyone's high on Castillo right now, because he knocked Diego Corrales out last night... But the difference in class between Tszyu and Castillo is very big.

Are you forgeting the way Kostya Tszyu beat some fighters with rough house tactics?

In my opinion, Kostya Tszyu is better than Castillo in every area. (Power/skill/inside/outside/foot-work/everything).

Hatton was able to beat the great Kostya Tszyu into submission towards a 12 round TKO win... Yet Castillo would **** Hatton up???

I'm not sure where you're going with this one?

Too many politics will keep a lot of fights from happening. Hatton hasn't looked to fight anyone until recently, and now he's looking for Maussa (last I heard).

According to boxrec Mayweather has a scheduled fight with Sharmba Mitchell on the 19 of Nov, but I haven't heard anything about that elsewhere.

I just don't think a lot of these fights are going to come off. Then, ten years from now, everyone's going to say that Mayweather ducked so and so, and Hatton was aggressively pursuing the fight with him, when it really wasn't the case...

If this particular fight should happen with Castillo, it would be a really good fight, I think.
