to give you my honest opinion, i don't believe so. i think the KO came more because Corrales allowed every uppercut Castillo threw at him (you could say that about almost every much Castillo threw). Corrales thought he could just 'weather' everything like he did the 1st fight, and got caught with a serious shot that dropped him. i think Corrales will go back and have a much better strategy come the 3rd fight which in turn will make the trilogy all the sweeter.

            i'm a corrales fan.

when i heard castillo had to loose 3.5lbs by 3 today i thought it was a plus for corrales.

but castillo won fair and square.

i'm going to state this thought over again from previous posts.its hard for me to believe that castillo by mistake showed up 3.5lb over at yesterdays weigh in which negated a fight for the belts.i am "considering" it an amazingly smart move by castillo's team to allow this to happen.now more than likely we will see a big money rubber match between the two at 135 for the belts.if castillo would have lost there still would have been crys for a rubbermatch because castillos team would have claimed dehydration.

            just a thought.

and again i conceded that castillo genuinely won fair and square tonight so don't pick on me like i'm a corrales excuse nut.

castillo definitly had the advantage, but he still won, i dont think a few pounds made the difference in this fight, chico needs to be better prepared next time

I wish Castillo had made weight, for **** sake. Corrales made no excuses, like a rue sportsman. Yea Castillo had an advantage, he didn struggle to make weight. He didnt drain himsel like he usually would have. I still cant believe that he didnt know what his weight was before weigh in. What an *******, i was cheering for him. His win is tainted.

To answer the original question. Yes, coming in at such a different weight (150 when you should be 135) is an advantage in the essence of it. However coming in at that weight may also be considered as a disadvantage if you are a fat ****er, or if you havent done cardio (to wear off fat) and therefore your stamina will suffer.

But in a professional situation, were both are healthy fighters, the one who is heavier has the advantage....

How is Castillo going to have the advantage when he had to weigh in again at 3pm to make 147lbs to avoid getting finded even more? Corrales was heavier...if anything corales had the advantage...he didn't have anything to lose..and he got KTFO!
