at first, i honestly thought the fight was fixed. I said to myself corrales took so many more shots in the first bout, not only that but corrales would benefit from a loss in this fight anyway, since a 3rd ppv fight would definitely be mantadory if he lost.

but after watching the punch and replay many times, decided that it was just a perfect punch. also the look on corrales face when he went down made me think it was real. castillo possessed a sick left hook last night, personally i think he was training that punch specificly for 5 months since it led to his near-victory in their first match...

              hmm

Plent of ppl are giving him recognition, obviously. Moochi isn't the only one on these boards giving it up. Additionally, there is nothing "obvious" about what caused Castillo to not make weight. The fact that you say that he blatantly cheated pretty much shows how wounded you are that Corrales lost. You don't even consider the possibility that he just cannot make weight due to a slight injury he had in camp which caused him to miss training time.

Also, he had to weigh in at 147 the next day whereas Corrales did not. I'm sure you choose to ignore this factor though.

i dont think castillo ever intended to make the weight....he wanted to make a point to corrales and the US and he did....remember in the pre-fight build up he was saying he been in a number of similar tear ups be4 but that the US media neva gave it any publicity cos it was against mexican fighters....

yeah, he was landing that thing all night, and corrales made no attempt to get out of its way from the first bell on. I hope he pulls a casamayor and fights castillo the 3rd time the same way he fought casamaoyr the 2nd time. And tehn when they d oget in close he can unload that sneaky short left hook that seemed non-existent last night.

reasonable point, but how do you explain that when he was given 2 hours to come down to weight he came back BIGGER!?!?

not really genius. Some times the body acts in wierd ways and you can gain weight frmo doing nothing. Anyway He will prove in the 3rd fight that he is no cheater
