VisionQwest, Manny's New Accountants, Is NOT - Repeat NOT - A Reputable Firm!

First of all, I work in Finance. So, this is not speculation or unwarranted criticism. This is what I know and what I do.

And before YOU comment with doubts or skepticism, I suggest that YOU verify or refute these facts.

There are some reputable accounting firms in this country (globally, actually). The most reputable firms are referred to as the "Big Four". Everyone in accounting and/or finance knows who they are. Then there are two additional large reputable national firms (BDO and Grant). When I initially saw the announcement that Manny Pacquiao chose VisionQwest to audit and manage his finances, I wondered why Manny (or , more likely, his people) chose this unqualified company.

There is not a single Fortune 500 company that uses VisionQwest. Not. A. Single. One.

VisionQwest is not among the leading accounting firms. Beyond that, VisionQwest is NOT even authorized (licensed) to perform external audit.

In fact, if you go to their website (and I invite you to do that), you will notice that their website is rife with misspellings. You would entrust your millions of dollars to people who can't proofread their own site? And, oh by the way, I've seen tumblr pages with more sophistication.

It would be laughable if it was not so sad.

So that I didn't pre-judge, I picked up the phone and called the accounting group myself. I asked a simple question, and was bounced to three different heavily-accented people in an attempt to get an answer to a BASIC (i.e simplistic, fundamental, elementary) financial question. The people on the phone (presumably bookkeepers?) had not even heard of the word.

It would be laughable if it was not so sad.

I'm not blaming Manny. On the contrary, somebody is pulling the flim-flam on Manny. Pac's team is NOT doing right by him, and SOMEBODY (other than Manny) is profiting from this.

    Manny.... BE CAREFUL!!

Well it's still a good move Paqs part, He need someone that isn't Arum or Arum appointed staff (Koncz), I cannot believe how Paq allowed Arum to appoint and run almost everything regarding his boxing career, I remember how Arum wanted Roach fired in the beginning but just couldnt get that through.

      Cool story and all that....

But I could care less if many chose carrot top to handle his accounts. I just want to see a damn fight between Floyd and PAC and seal the deal who's the best. Too many politics into this sh,it that's why it's getting out of hand.

So, a lemonade stand in front of your rented house is now called a finance company?

Good luck and more power to you sir.

There's a REASON why his handlers didn't go to an E&Y or PWC.

Somebody is doing something that they don't want exposed. And a reputable firm would be HIGHLY unlikely to get in bed with that.

This bootleg company is much more willing to be in cahoots to collect the fees.

I'll set up a radio/pod show this week (similar to what Horus did) and you and I can discuss Finance. Cool?

What evening works best for you?

I probably should have gone into finance. I had the image of you guys working 16 hour days 7 days a week? Guess it depends what area you're in, because you seem to have a lot of free time on your hand.
