I'm talking about the way Cotto kinda freezes for a sec or two now after getting hit good, post Margarito. I never noticed that obvious a reaction in his fights before Margarito, at least not to the extent that it is now. I contend that a cheating Margarito ruined Cotto's ability to walk though shots without really showing it.

A beating like this will do that to ya...

Hope Cotto kicks that scumbag's ass in the rematch.

Nah , man. Cotto didn'treally "fight hurt" against Pac. Manny could/should have stopped Miguel anywhere from round 7 onwards. All Miguel was doing was running backwards and made the 2nd half of that fight miserable to watch.

      I think Manny was merciful.

But I respect your opinion and differing viewpoint.

Watch the last two rounds, especially the 12th

Amir was lighting Maidana up with single shots and the occasional flurry

What do you think stopped that surge? Khan beating Maidana to the punch

I agree that Margarito IRREPARABLY destroyed Cotto's (already mediocre) chin.

This thread reminds me of when Corley rocked Cotto and we all got to see his amazing salsa skills for about 2-3 seconds. Man, that gave me a good laugh.

Every time I've watched Audley Harrison box he always looks scared of getting hit.

Morales with the exception of the III Pac fight, fights well hurt.

Very calm and just fires back.

Juan Diaz could not fight hurt.

Frank Bruno always did well until he got hurt, then he just stood there with his hands by his side and let the other guy tee of on him

I remember when Tim got blasted by Holt. That was a killer left. Tim got up, figured he was still woozy and took a knee.

Smart move, but I never figured why the ref didn't stop the fight.

Educate me if I'm wrong, but haven't referees stopped fights for a guy going down twice from the same punch? Isn't that pretty much an unwritten rule for refs?

                      Yep!

The exact opposite of Evander Holyfield.
