What are your thoughts on PAL gyms?

Just curious. Closest boxing gym in my area is a PAL(Police Activities League) gym. How different are these from your run of the mill boxing gym? And what do you guys think about them?

There is one in my area, it's the first I've ever checked out, but talking to the person in charge I quickly find out that it was only for 18 or 17 & under. I felt kinda ****** 'cause I didn't even bother looking at their sign outside it said " Community Youth Center". Anyway I told the guy I just wanted to watch their class. I actually observed how they held classes for 2 consecutive days and I can tell you this much compared to overpriced boxing/muay thai/bjj gyms I've joined or use to go to, to get some sparring. The PAL was alot more devoted to their students and they actually do what they are supposed to do which is teach.
