Personally, at this moment, I can't see Gatti winning any belts at 147, or even if he were to stay at 140.
Maussa will most likely get his ass handed to him by Hatton, in which case the WBA Junior Welterweight belt becomes impossible.
At 147, I can't see him becoming a champ either, unless something happens to Judah, but I don't think that's likely.
I love the guy, he's been great to watch, but I really can't see him becoming a champ at this stage in his career. I'd love to see him do it, but I don't think it's going to happen.

i couldnt agree more, karma for you.
i love gatti, too. but theres a time to be optimistic and theres a time to be realistic. i really hope gatti does well for the remainder of his career, however long it might be, but i sadly think his championship days are over.
You never know with Gatti though. There has been alot of great comebacks in the history of boxing (Leonard, Duran, Foreman etc.). I lost alot of respect for him when he fought Mayweather. It seemed like he didn't even try in the fight, and just wanted to collect the biggest payday of his career.
I'll judge him when I see his next fight against that undefeated Dane Damgaard, I hope he puts on a good performance. Supposedly Damgaard isn't too shady, he's pretty good, but we'll see.

gatti went from being a puncher who can box to a boxer who can punch. and when he tried to box with mayweather, he was outclassed (to say the least). but when (for a brief moment) he tried to be a slugger, he chased floyd and landed 1 or 2 good body shots but did no effect. soon after that round, mcgirt told gatti he was stopping the fight, to which gatti replied "no, no. one more round, gimme one more round".
with that being said, how can you not respect gatti for not quitting at least?
id say gatti tried his ASS off, but he tried the wrong way.
Didn't you see that, and did you watch the fight? He quit HBO just didn't show it. You could tell he wanted to quit he wasnt arguing with the call he was too much in pain and didn't try to protest AT ALL with Mcgirt.
HBO made Gatti seem like a warrior and such, sure he has heart, but is he willing to die in the ring, NO! No one is.
Gatti is very popular, this can get him title fights that aren`t earned on merit. His fan base is so strong, i remember even the pretender said once that if it wasn`t Ruiz`s **** in his ass then he`d wanna bit of Thunder Gatti pounding his beefcake!
