I think most reasonable people would say SRL... Manny while an all time great, isn't an all time great at welterweight. It is a reflection of Manny greatness that he is among the best at welterweight right now, but in the historical sense SRL is just flat out better than him is all around at 147.

Call me crazy, but I think manny (no OSDT), would be the stronger fighter coming forward. It would be a bad move for Leonard to try to bully pac at this weight... I do remember RL liked to throw combo's. This could leave him open...

I gotta go with Pac by SD....

If we're countng OSDT, I'll have to see how Manny performs before I can make that assessment...
      WHAT ? ? ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ .....t-h-e f-u-c-k youre talking about? ¡ ¡ ¡¡ ¡ ¡

Leonard wins UD......but i think in a close fight..........

Good fight as long as it lasts. Leonard ends it when ever Pac decides to get brave or reckless. Pac although an ATG is no where near the level of Leonard at welterweight. Sorry but thats the truth. Leonard is a superior boxer, has a height and reach advantage, KO power in both hands, vastly superior skills, higher boxing IQ and is slick plus he had a good chin and stamina for days.

Pac makes it interesting early but ultimately Leonard KO's him in the middle rounds. It never fails to amaze me just how devoted and blind some of Pac's fanboys are to even think he could beat Leonard! And Im a fan of Pacs but im a realist.

Pacquiao is a TINY welterweight who only weighed 145 lbs. when he dominated 168 lbs. Margarito.

The only way a fight between Pacquiao and Leonard could possibly be fair would be for their fight to be held at a catchweight in the same way that Leonard's fight for the 175 lbs. title was fought at a catchweight of 165 lbs., 10 pounds lower than the actual title.

A 144 lbs. catchweight, similar to the original catchweight Mayweather/Marquez was originally supposed to be fought at (before Floyd showed up at 158 lbs. to Marquez's 142 lbs.), would probably be a fair catchweight for two all time great top 5 pound for pounders Sugar Ray Leonard and Manny Pacquiao to fight.

Pacquiao wins at a fair catchweight. Leonard wins at an unfair 147 lbs.
Leonard weigh in only at 146 for his Hearns fight(who weighs 145). Pac will kick his ass if he fought Pac at that night! Welter Pac will Beat the Welter SRL!

I agree with virtually everything you said. Leonard was one of the greatest welterweights of all time, and a natural at the weight. I like Manny a lot, but...no.

Next poll: Marvin Hagler versus Manny at 160. lol

i like the manny at like 126/130, at WW he's fought older fighters, no real prime or dangerous opponents (besides cotto) so i'd go with srl. it'd be a tough fight for either guy though

To me hes the second best at welterweight, behind SRR but being behind Robinson is an honor and I believe Leonard said that hes not as good as Robinson before.
