We can stop right there because the numbers were never better or equal. If at ANY point Manny's numbers were better than Mayweather's, you can be sure that Bob Arum would be shouting it from the rooftops. Floyd consistently outperforms every boxer as it pertains to earning and PPVs.

Well ... when considering Manny Pacquiao would NEVER have even been famous had Arum not thrown all his weight behind him it doesn't seem so bad at all. If you remember, Pacquiao had received all kinds of accolades for beating what the media reported as "the best FW in the world". Nonsense. Barrera had been ducking Marquez literally for years. And when Pacquiao faced Marquez, we all know that Arum had a big hand in getting Pacquiao that draw and the next win. You can't lose 8 out of 12 rounds and still get the win unless you are with King Arum or you are Paul Williams.

Most of Pacquiao's success is because Bob Arum used his clout with the media to legitimize what would be otherwise considered "doctored wins". Since arriving at WW, Pacquiao has been using catchweights and mysteriously having opponents come in at disadvantageous weights(rehydration) and calling these fights "legit". He's been targeting MOSTLY vacant belts, which takes the word "champion" completely out of the accomplishment.

And what's worse, *******s have been criticizing Floyd for not making weight(2 lbs) against Marquez, when Pacquiao did the same thing against Medgoen Singsurat at flyweight. He lost his title for not making weight before Singsurat knocked him out in the ring. Hypocrisy.

All of this has been made to seem very respectable and very acceptable by Bob Arum and Top Rank. Without them, none of that trash would be recognized as world class.

So in the end, Pacquiao is enjoying money he would NEVER have made were it not for Arum. You can't say the same thing about Arum because he always has a 2nd and 3rd string back up. Always.

          Whoa.

Well that was a surprise. I'm all for objectivity but after all 478 of the bites you listed, I figured it would be safe to say that a pattern of behavior existed that validated any and all doubt we had about the man's word and integrity.

I hear ya though. You've been an honest poster since I've been active here so I'll just take your word for it based on that.

Bob Arum does possess the ability to tell the truth.

I just wish that he would exercise that option more consistantly.

I dont believe that Manny has money problems, or that he owes the IRS.

Arum is trying to position himself to look innocent. He knew Koncz was stealing from Manny and he looked the other way cause HE was stealing. Koncz is the reason behind a man in Texas suing Manny for $1.4 million. Manny was supposed to do an appearance for $200k during the Margarito fight. Freddie Roach didnt want Manny to do it and Manny backed out the deal. Problem is Manny didnt know the man paid $100k of the money UP FRONT. So when the money was taken, that was a contract and the man lost money for promoting the appearance and him backing out. Yet Manny never received the money and when Koncz was confronted about it, he says "Jinkee has it". OH NO BUDDY. This rabbit hole goes so deep and Arum is going to distance himself from Koncz.

                      Already was.

Floyd was guaranteed $22 million to fight Shane.

A year later, manny was guaranteed $6 million to fight Shane.
