I was live at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA when Rios fought Antillion so I got to see Mercito Gesta fight and I can tell you straight up Mercito is F A A A A R R from being a bum! This kid is super talented and has the killer instinct you like to see in a fighter. His hand speed reminds me of his countryman Manny Pacquiao. Don't get me wrong, it's too early to crown him the next Pac Man but he is far better in my opinion and much more entertaining than Nonito Donaire another good filipino boxer.

I can't wait for Rios vs Gesta! That is sure to be a classic and I've got my money on the lesser known and lesser regarded Mercito "No Mercy" Gesta!

Seriously? Team Gesta really want a piece of Rios?

Far out man, dunno what I think of this, or what I think of Team Gesta ?

If Gesta is just trying to hype himself by calling out Rios then he may end up looking like a b1tch here. Rios aint the kind of dog that you can poke with a stick and then walk away without getting bitten.

I agree, and Marquez is my boy. Brandon would fight him, or anyone, tomorrow.

And I will happily take it.

Gesta is an exciting prospect, but he is not on Donaire's level.

That fight needs to happen further down the line, but I dunno how long Rios plans to stay at lightweight.

Obviously you're just a biased Mexican, who like to watch people fight with no skill. Gesta would ****in' murder Rios, even at this early stage in his ****in' career. And I'm not being biased against mexicans either, because I think Juan Manuel Marquez would pick Gesta apart, but Gesta ****in' makes Rios quit on his stool in the middles rounds easy. Rios tends to throw wide, and has no where near as much speed or precision as Gesta. Gesta picks Rios apart with counter right hooks and lead straight left hands to make Rios' corner stop it in the middle rounds.
